Hudson Valley Original

Since 1836

Originally built as a dairy farm by english settlers in the early nineteenth century, Stonehill’s has a vibrant history with deep roots in the Hudson Valley.

During the 1920s, the farm housing was converted into lodging for NYC broadway performers, who came up to summer in the Borsch Belt. The barn was converted into a theater and reception hall, where community would gather for plays, concerts, weddings and celebrations.

Since reopening in 2019, after years of thoughtful renovation, Stonehill’s is lucky to be historically reinvigorated, with live musical performances by artists like Natalie Merchant and Passion Pit, and by unforgettable wedding celebrations for broadway icons including Sara Bareilles and Joe Tippett.

With it’s natural character and antique design motifs, Stonehill’s feels like a far-away destination, but is easily accessible to New York City — we’re located 90 minutes north by Trailways Bus or car. Stonehill’s is uniquely historic, but has been quietly upgraded with modern-day amenities to meet the expectations of even the most discerning traveler.

We understand the importance of capturing picture-perfect moments to cherish ones for years to come. With over 20 acres of rolling hills, streams, ponds, pastures and mountain views, you’ll have plenty of places to chose from. Stonehill’s also features an exclusive hiking trail to Arrowood Farms Brewery & Westwind Orchard.

We offer 3 days, 2 nights of exclusive use of the climatized barn, sailcloth tent, farmhouse, cabins, grounds, tables, chairs, lighting, sound, decor, dance floor, & more for up to 200.

    Our on-site, meticulously designed 1800s farmhouse rooms + cabin suites serve as home base for 34 guests (50 with expanded beds).
